Type Locality and Naming
In the village of Kurbanzi, N. Nuratau Ridge. A.K. Bukharin et al., in 1990 (460, p.59).
Synonym: Kurbanazin Suite, Курбанзайская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Dark gray, black, green, yellow, and raspberry claystone (argillites), clay-siliceous, mica-siliceous slates with layers and lenses of fine-grained platy silty-claystone (aleuropelites), dolomites, and limestones. Thickness 100-200m.

Stratigraphically conformable with the Ilonchisay Suite (165).
Regional extent
North slope of the North Nuratau Ridge, basins of the Ilonchi, Asman, and Chagalak streams. The suite is a complete lithological and age analog of the Jalatark Fm. It is correlated with the Telibay Fm of the South Bukantau.

Contains Middle Ordovician radiolarians - Inanigutta cf. complanata (Naz.), I. aff. unica (Naz.) and others; early-middle Ordovician chitinozoans - Desmochitina minor f. cocca Eis., D. minor f. typica Eis., Conochitina parva Umn., Linochitina pissotensis Paris. and others; sponge spicules, traces of mud-eaters.
